Julian Schnabel "Navigation Drawings"

I'll be the first to admit that I am not the biggest fan of Mr. Schnabel's artistic output. Though he seems to be a fine filmmaker and a talented art star, his paintings leave me undernourished. These are no exception. Simplistic paintings on antique maps seemed almost like a waste of perfectly good maps.
Crowd-watching was excellent, however, I'm thinking at least partly due to Mr. Schnabel's movie "The Diving Bell and The Butterfly", currently in wide release. His stunningly beautiful wife was there as well, looking like a goddess incarnate. There were so many punters and hangers on and ink-stained wretches in attendance that maneuvering from gallery to gallery was a challenge. What looked like very decent wine was served in actual glass, but the line was so long that my companion and I skipped the beverage service altogether.
